Maciej Sztor graduated from the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in professor Jerzy Salwarowski’s class of symphony conducting. Since 2009 he has been an assistant in the Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus and in the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Warsaw. Since 2005 he has been cooperating permanently with Poznań Musical Theatre. He holds the posts of artistic supervisor and conductor of the Poznań Chamber Orchestra and of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Comprehensive Secondary School of Music in Poznań (POSM II st.). In 2008 Sztor participated in the prestigious Dimitiris Mitropoulos International Competition, which took place in Athens and he was a semi-finalist of the Fourth Witold Lutosławski International Young Conductors’ Competition in 2006. He also took part in conductors’ master courses conducted by Doctor Paul Elliot Cobbs, professor Jose Miguel Rodilla Tortajada and by professor Jerzy Salwarowski. Sztor has given concerts together with Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, Częstochowa Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus and Poznań Chamber Orchestra.
