Anna Bajerska-WitczakJust after graduating from the Academy of Music in Wrocław Anna Bajerska–Witczak joined the staff of Musical Theatre in Poznań, though she had not intended to. Poznań was supposed to be only a short episode in her professional life. However, her fate was different. After Bajerska had been warmly invited by the audience of Poznań in the part of Victoria in the operetta Victoria and her Hussar, she decided to stay longer and, in that way, stayed for good. From the very beginning she played the parts of paramours, which was possible due to extraordinary singing skills and, of course, good looks. The great event in Bajerska’s life was work on the part of Elisa in My Fair Lady, the musical directed by a demanding and unusual director, Bogusława Czosnowska. The performance was both Theatre’s and Bajerska’s big success and it became a very important event in the theatre’s history. Bajerska is a great stage personality who has almost all main operetta parts in her repertoire and the audience of Poznań has had the opportunity to see and listen to most of them. Currently the artist is realizing herself in character roles, which she plays with ease and which gives pleasure to both Bajerska and the audience.
